Silversun Pickups Deliver!
Great venue (Ponte Vedra Concert Hall), outstanding show. I had been hoping to catch these guys live for years, and was totally stoked when they finally made it back to the St. Augustine area. Tremendous energy from the stage, pretty decent sound; let's call it a B or B+ performance. Only drawbacks: Cannibal and Bloody Mary surprisingly omitted, only about 90 minutes with encore, thought the last date on tour leg would be a bit more of a blowout. Otherwise, everything I expected from a truly talented rock band. Opening act was a local, but very promising, Jacksonville four-piece The Dog Apollo. Kudos to SSP for throwing The Dog the opening gig bone (okay, a C- on the pun....) and they came through with a crowd pleasing, high energy set.
